SALES MANAGER Coastal Hardware located in Mauritius is seeking a Sales Manager to join their growing team. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and achieving sales targets for the hardware store's products and services. Key Responsibilities include but not limited to: 1. Sales Strategy and Planning: • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives and revenue targets. • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion in existing and new markets. • Analyse market trends and customer needs to inform sales strategies. 2. Team Leadership and Management: • Manage the sales and administration assistants • Set sales targets and performance goals for the sales team. • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to team members to help them achieve their targets. 3. Customer Relationship Management: • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including contractors, builders, and homeowners. • Identify customer needs and preferences and recommend appropriate products and solutions. • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a timely and professional manner. 4. Product Knowledge and Promotion: • Develop a deep understanding of the Coastal Hardware’s products and services, including but not limited to, Eva-Last, Plascon, Total Tools, HTH, Aco and Trellidor. • Train sales team members on product features, benefits, and selling techniques. • Coordinate promotional activities and marketing campaigns to drive product awareness and sales. 5. Sales Performance Analysis and Reporting: • Monitor sales performance against targets and KPIs. • Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities and challenges. • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review. 6. General Duties: • Follow all companies’ policies and procedures. • Perform any other tasks as requested by management. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • 4-years’+ experience Technical sales within the building and construction industry. • Sales Team Management experience. • Strong numerical ability. • Drivers license, and willingness to drive to clients across Mauritius. • Higher School Certificate (HSC). BEHAVIORAL FIT • Willingness to learn by developing a working knowledge of company products, procedures, systems, and practices, willingness to grow with the company. • Detail oriented. • A proactive attitude. Maintain a high work ethic with a can-do attitude, makes a difference. • Effective communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. • Technical understanding and experience in the building and construction industry.
